OK, I admit - the first time I heard of "Maharishi Vedic City," I thought it was a joke.

Especially since it's located in Iowa - home of some of the coolest agriculture technology initiatives on earth.

But no - proving that you really can't make this stuff up, voila - Maharishi Vedic City

The city is 100% organic - by law. Every building is designed according to "promote health, happiness, and good fortune."

Remember, if you want to visit, "The ideal currency of the City is the Raam-the development currency of the Global Country of World Peace."

I think I'll hang out in Sioux City, Ames or Des Moines, thanks.
